When? June 1st at 8pm

Tickets? Only 20 dollars at the door!

Why? We think original theatre is worth celebrating, which is why we’re capping off our “Death Cruise” fundraiser with a party! plus you’ll get a chance to see a live performance of ”The Great Escape from the Starship Boogaloogavoo Zoo”, a musical we wrote in 24 hours (Trust us, it’s a good time). All-around merriment is guaranteed, let’s raise a glass to the future!

Wait, what’s this show? Oh, you mean the instant classic: “The Great Escape from the Starship Boogaloogavoo Zoo”? We’re so glad you asked. On May 10th & 11th, Thicket & Thistle wrote a musical in 24 hours as part of our annual fundraising effort. Donors made suggestions that were incorporated into the show, such as the location (“SPACE”), the character names (like “Dakota” and “Florpbert”), and more. It’s a tale about a ragtag band of humans trapped in a zoo on an alien starship, with all the gorgeous tunes, zany plot twists, and DIY special effects you could hope for.
